Hello Members,

Well, we all asked for rain to help with this dry, hot weather and we did get it, but unfortunately, to much for our playday on the 10th.  Listed below is a list of playdays and some changes that have been made for the rest of the year.

7/24/10 #7 Playday 5 p.m. No exhibitions Spur, Bowtie, Straight Barrels, Poles

09/11/2010 #4 Playday TBA     (Rain make up) Pylon, Fly W, Flags, Barrels

09/18/2010 #8 Playday TBA Pylon, Fly W, Flags, Barrels

10/2/2010 #9 Playday Noon Spur, Bowtie, Straight Barrels, Poles

10/9/2010 #6 Playday Noon      (Rain make up) Pylon,  Fly W,  Flags,  Barrels

10/23/2010 #10 Playday Noon Pylon,  Fly W,  Flags,  Barrels

I know that looking at the schedule it looks odd to see the same events repeated, but that is how the rain dates fell and when we run these season, we will have ran each event 5 times with the exception of Barrels and Poles.

Also note, we are only running four events for the remainder of the year.  The cost to members will be $2.50 per event and non members $3.50 per event.  This will help us keep the same income, but allow us to finish up a bit earlier and easier on the horses and riders in this extreme heat.

The Rodeo is getting closer.  Some improvements were done at the arena at the workday on 7/17.  I think you will all be surprised at how just changing out some fence makes a difference.   The next workday is August 14, 2010.  That is a huge workday in preparation for the Rodeo and we will need everyone to come out and help us prep the arena.  If you are interested in working at the arena on some projects at a date other than the scheduled workdays, please contact Michael Wheeler and he will give you a list of projects that need to be done.

Points…… If you are competing for year end awards, please remember you must participate in 70%  of playdays (that is all events for the day or at least pay for all events for the day).  See me at the playday if you have a question as to whether you are on track with completing this percentage.

I look forward to seeing all of you on Saturday night at 5 p.m. for the playday.   Remember to sign up to work events for you and your family (if the case be) so that all points will count.

Thanks for the time.
