Lewisville Saddle Club Board Meeting Minutes

December 19, 2009

Meeting was called to order by President Michael Wheeler. All 11 members were present.

Motion made, second and carried to dispense with the reading of the minutes from the previous board meeting.

Motion made, second and carried to approve Treasurer’s Report presented by Suzanne Wilson.

Old Business:

Gene Montgomery reported that we need to get a ventahood for the concession stand. He had checked on that, got a bid and the board appointed him to see this project through.

New Business:

Kevon Theall discussed the need for the club to purchase a box blade to keep there at the grounds. It is a piece of equipment that would be very beneficial and helpful in getting the ground ready for the activities on the schedule for 2010. Board approved Kevon and Gene to look into purchasing a box blade.

Michael Wheeler brought the club up to speed on some contact he had with the Jack Russell Dog Group and their thoughts on using the facility. He presented some dates they would like to secure the arena for, the board approved those dates (see schedule) upon Michael discussing some specific issues with the Directors of the Jack Russell group.

Michael presented a tentative schedule. After much discussion and amending the following dates were set for 2010.

Regarding District 14… Any District 14 member will be able to qualify for Playday Finals at any of the first 3 LSC playdays. Should they not be able to get all 8 events qualified, on May 1, 2010 we will set up special events at the end of the playday for those that have not qualified.

For Cancellations due to Temperature: Check Channel 4 for a forecast of 50 degrees at Noon or better we will ride.
